Asia Pacific Psycho-Oncology Network Meeting
Welcome to the fifth biennial meeting of the Asia Pacific Psycho-Oncology Network (APPON), a forum which brings together psycho-oncology experts in the Asia Pacific region. The integration of psychosocial cancer care into the whole care system for cancer patients is a critical goal. This meeting will provide the opportunity to share ideas on research and clinical strategies in psycho-social cancer care. This is the first time that the meeting will be held in Singapore and hosted by the Department of Psychological Medicine, NUHS in conjunction with the 3rd NUS Academic Psychiatry Conference from 10-12 November 2016. The Conference entitled “Psychosocial Cancer Care-supporting patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals” comprises pre- conference workshops for skills development in psycho-social cancer care and a two full-day programme of plenary lectures, oral and poster presentations. The conference will not only meet the needs of local healthcare professionals (psychiatrists, psychologists, oncologists, and allied health staff) but also be of interest to healthcare professionals from regional countries. We welcome you to this important meeting to interact with and hear the experts from around the region.
